Inspired by miniature Gothic sculptures from the early 16th century, Parchment Bead takes up the codes of prayer nuts (a small boxwood sphere enclosing miniature sculpted religious scenes) used 550 years ago as an aid to personal devotion.
The boxwood is here replaced by parchment and the biblical scenes by rosettes. With a sober appearance on the outside, Parchement Bead reveals in its center a baroque and ornate parchment universe, which invites immersion and contemplation.
