CHEONGJU BIENNALE 2025

SILVER PRIZE WINNER

September 2025 marked a significant milestone in my artistic journey. I had the privilege and honor of traveling to South Korea to receive the Silver Prize at the Cheongju Craft Biennale’s international craft competition. It was an unforgettable experience!

The Cheongju Craft Biennale hosts one of the world’s most prestigious craft competitions; I am therefore sincerely grateful that my piece, "Intermediaries #4," was selected and awarded a prize from among entries submitted by 990 artists from 71 different countries.

This new parchment cup, created specifically for the competition, was exhibited from September 4 to November 2, 2025, as part of the Cheongju Craft Biennale’s "Winner Exhibition."

I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend the event in person to receive my award. The trip gave me the opportunity to experience firsthand the world’s largest and longest-running event dedicated to fine craft, which showcased works by over 1,300 artists from 72 countries. No fewer than 300,000 visitors came to admire the approximately 2,500 artworks, all expertly displayed.

It is a true honor to have had my work exhibited and recognized at this major, world-class event dedicated to fine craft.
